The sides carved through the olive-brown glaze with a broad band divided into two panels, one depicting a lotus plant, the other a ribbon-tied lotus leaf and a lotus with a pod, reserved on grounds of overlapping waves, and separated by two vertical panels carved with inscriptions, all between linear borders.
