DescriptionBotanical drawing of (1) Datura Tatula (purple thorn-apple, jimsonweed, devil's snare, or devil's trumpet), a plant with a speckled yellow stem and spiny green seed; (2) Datura Ceratocaula (horny-stemmed thorn-apple, a plant with a white flower; (3) Nicandra Physaloides (alkekengi, kite-flower, apple-of-Peru, shoo-fly plant), a plant with a light green stem, green leaves, and white flower; (4) Saracha Viscosa (clammy saracha), a plant with a prickly green stem, red seed, and gray flower; (5) Solanum Fontanesium (Desfontaines' nightshade), a plant with a prickly green stem and yellow flowers; and (6) Solanum Campanulatum (bell-flowered nightshade), a plant with a prickly green stem, green leaves, and light purple flowers.
