Visual DescriptionBox with paintings of Krishna and Radha on all exterior surfaces
In this painting Krishna wearing a veil is seen meeting Radha in front of her chamber. She is welcoming him with the sacred coconut ceremony while Krishna is offering her lotus flowers symbolic of his wishes of long life to her. He wore the veil so that at night no one sees him and talks scandal. Their rapt gaze forecasts an ecstatic encounter and for this the black clouds and the happy birds afford a symbolic setting.
