DescriptionAn unusually sculptural incense container in the shape of a shachi, a mythical creature with a tiger head and carp body. The artist's seal is impressed on the bottom of the piece. Outstanding not only for its sculptural qualities but also for the unique treatment of the surface with all-over gilding.
