DescriptionA crowd of people mostly seated around a large table drinking and talking merrily; a woman sits in the foreground while dressing/undressing, people stand in the doorway, a large stringed musical instrument (harp?) in the background, and art on the walls. Tom Rakewell, seated at left, is so inebriated that he is unaware that a woman is stealing from his pocket. Illustration from a tavern scene in Hogarth's A Rake's Progress.
