Black cotton dyed gauze bands (possibly medical strips?) with hand embroidery. Neck opening shaped by middle band being cut to make opening. Chain stitched embroidery covering cloth in red, yellow, orange, white and green (colors faded). Thin cotton border in white all around garment.

A right-bound cover stitched with red thread, featuring a dense blue pattern of overlapping stylized mountains, huts, cranes, and circular emblems. Four large red Japanese characters, each enclosed in a blue circle, descend vertically on the left side. The four red characters read top to bottom are 日本の紙 (Nihon no kami), which translates to "Japanese paper."

A carved dark wooden scoop featuring an elongated oval bowl. Its straight cylindrical handle connects to a textured, horizontally ribbed upper section that splits into two large, smooth, inward-curving horn-like prongs whose tips nearly touch at the top.
