DescriptionTwo Larus fuscus (Lesser Black-Backed Gull) birds depicted: in front, an adult with a white body and black wings with white tips, yellow feet and beak with a red spot on its lower mandible; in back, a younger bird with gray and white spotted body, dark feathers with white tips, and a black beak. Both birds are on a rocky shoreline. Plate 431 from volume V of "Birds of Europe", London, 1832-1837.
