DescriptionA black and white photograph of two nude male ballet dancers, commemorating the New York City Ballet's debut of Orpheus. The front figure turns his back to the viewer, supporting his right leg with Orpheus's lyre. He extends his hands to the other dancer, entwining their hands in a black rope. The second dancer turns his body towards the viewer, lunging forward and upward into the rope.
