DescriptionBotanical drawing of (1) Lathryus ororatus (Sweet pea), (2) Lathryus tingitanus (Tangier pea), (3) Lathryus sativus (Chickling vetch), (4) Lathryus articulates (Jointed or Winged pea), (5) Lathyrus nissolia (crimson grass vetch), (6) Lathyrus amphicarpos (Under-ground or Earth-pea), (7) Vicia onobrychioides (saintfoin-like vetch), (8) Vicia atropurpurea (Dark purple vetch), (9) Lotus tetragonolobus (Dark crimson-winged pea), (10) Lotus jacobeus (Black, or St. Jago birds’-foot trefoil), (11) Astragalus sinicus (Rose-coloured milk-vetch), (12) Lablab vulgaris (Black-seeded doliciios, or Egyptian bean), all plants with green stem and leaves, and various types and colors of flowers.
