DescriptionGraphite or charcoal sketch of the expressway with watercolor and possibly crayon, on paper. This watercolor of the expressway zooming above the old Nihonbashi Bridge is a preparatory work for the 1960 print, Nihonbashi, which was a part of Sekino's print series, Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido, begun in 1959 and completed in 1974.
