An incense container in the shape of an egg, partially covered with a hexagonal tortoise shell design. The container is described on the box lid as "tsuru tame kogo", crane and tortoise kogo. The inside is covered with gold leaf.

A domed square incense container with contoured edges and corners. Two rabbits painted on the lower part of the front in white glaze over green like a hill against the unglazed brown body of the piece. Both rabbits are outlined in gold lacquer and have red lacquered eyes.
