Descriptionclose-up portrait of a boy in a pleated shirt with white cuffs and collar sitting in a child’s chair holding a paper booklet. Told to “hold very still” for the exposure, his face shows no expression. Handwritten on paper and pinned to inside of daguerreotype leatherette case w/blue velvet padding, the name, “HILL.” Strong possibility of family connection between this daguerreotype and that of the refined woman in oval preserver-frame.
