DescriptionColor photo-inset combined within an overall black and white aquatint. Photo-inset displays a photo tableau of pink flowers, skeleton model, doll puppet in kimono, and three traditional Japanese prints of warriors and an ogre philosopher (?). The dominant black and white aquatint consists of several recurring characters and themes in Fichter's work: the donkey, outsized fish, nuclear devastation, and Baby Genepool (cyclops baby in the foreground). There is also the back of a woman in kimono, the Hiroshima domed building left standing after the blast, and a shinto shrine. Text at bottom center: "Atom; struck tile; the explosion; center; hiroshima; Sado [sic]; Light."
