DescriptionA Zhou period t'sung carved from richly colored moss-green jade with inclusions of ivory and brown. Each face of the t'sung is carved with Ming period, archaistic revival taotie designs. The piece has a soft overall finish. In our opinion, this t'sung represents a harmonious merging of the Zhou and Ming period cultures. (Bernstein appraisal).
