DescriptionTaxonomic illustrations of eight animals and plants from the Americas. At the top are a brown and yellow snake from Mexico and a pair of spotted black and white snakes from Brazil. Below these snakes are two brown branches from American shrubs and three snakes with diamond patterning from Mexico. Plate 77 from Volume II of "Locupletissimi Rerum Naturalium Thesauri," Amsterdam: Wetsten, Smith and Waesberg, 1734-1755.
