DescriptionTen taxonomic illustrations of plants and animals. In the center is an American snake, surrounded by four opossums, one of which houses several of her young in her pouch. Other drawings include a Brazilian red, yellow, and blue bird and four branches from American and Brazilian plants. Plate 36 from Volume I of "Locupletissimi Rerum Naturalium Thesauri," Amsterdam: Wetsten, Smith and Waesberg, 1734-1755.
