DescriptionThree Erythronota Elegans (Elegant Erythronote) hummingbirds with green bodies and a stripe of red on their tails with a Mormodes atro-purpurea orchid plant that has purple and yellow flowers. One bird stands on the plant while two others fly nearby. Plate 320 from volume V of "A Monograph of the Trochilidae, or Family of Hummingbirds" (London, 1849-1861).
