DescriptionFour Spathura Peruana (Peruvian Racket-Tail) hummingbirds including three males and one female. The males have bright green bodies with black spatula tails and orange ruff around their legs; the female has a green back with spotted green and white belly. Two males fly overhead while a male and female stand on the branch of a plant with thin stems, green leaves, and small blue flowers. Plate 164 from volume III of "A Monograph of the Trochilidae, or Family of Hummingbirds", London, 1849-1861 (supplement printed 1880-1887).
