DescriptionTwo Panterpe Insignis (Costa-Rican Humming-Bird) hummingbirds with blue heads, bellies, and tails, red throats, and green backs with a Begonia biserrata plant that has green leaves and light pink flowers. One bird stands on the plant while another flies nearby. Plate 336 from volume V of "A Monograph of the Trochilidae, or Family of Hummingbirds" (London, 1849-1861).
