DescriptionThree Lophornis Chalybeus (Festive Coquette) hummingbirds with green backs and heads, brown tails, and a white stripe between their back and tail. The two males have an ornamental green and white spotted ruff, while the female has a black and white spotted throat. All three birds stand on a plant with green stems and leaves, and a white flower. Plate 124 from volume III of "A Monograph of the Trochilidae, or Family of Hummingbirds" (London, 1849-1861).
