DescriptionTwo Oreotrochilus Adela (Adela's Hill-Star) hummingbirds, the male has a green throat, a blue belly, and red sides, in flight; the female has a light green back, black and white speckled throat, and light red belly, standing on a Salvia plant with green stems and leaves, and yellow flowers. Plate 73 from volume II of "A Monograph of the Trochilidae, or Family of Hummingbirds" (London, 1849-1861).
